Myself, a true Half-pat. It's no surprise to me that Suzhou is in the list seeing how many of the European and American expats here can afford to live. I had a lecture from an expat wife the other day about "how to live in China" nothing she said was relevant because im not earning 150,000USD while im living here :-) I work in an service field working with expats. First of all, how any Chinese city ended up in the top 10 is beyond me. I would think that at least the top 50 would all be in Japan/Korea, with the inclusion of Hong Kong and Singapore as well. Also, listing Beijing as the most expensive city is quite off base as well...that is of course unless you ride around in a hummer limo and do make all your purchases within the confines of 5 star hotels.
