<description>Ryan, how refreshing to come accross such a well balanced point of view.

On the record, I don&#039;t support child pornography in any way. I am however one of the victims Ryan talks about here.

In 2007, I was arrested because the police traced (they say) stuff that was downloaded against my ISP address (the Police say!), yet when they raided my home they did not find the files they said they were looking for. Instead, they arrested me based on a movie file of a 24yo Asian Adult Actor who happened to look a bit young according to Western standards. Here in my life changed forever.

After a year, the case went to court where it was thrown out after just 30 minutes of court time. The Magistrate who heard the committal case went so far as to forward an official complaint about the police (which has amazingly dissapeared!).

During the year of waiting, I lost my job, was publicly named and shamed (by the Police!), assaulted by vigilantes, my family - two boys aged 7 and 17 and wife were subject to public abuse and a torrent of abusive phone calls which proved too much for my wife. I thought seriously about suicide on at least 8 occasions during that year, but something inside me kept me going - I don&#039;t know why.

Now I&#039;ve got another job, the vigilante abuse has not stopped. A phone call to my employer just before Christmas saw me being wrongfully investigated by them again for something I did not do.

I honestly think that someone tapped into my wireless router. I&#039;m not techno minded in any way when it comes to computers, and I&#039;ve been told that this is possible. So, the moral of this story is that the real perpetrator (if there really was one) has gotten away while I wear the consequences, which is very severe I can attest to.

The Police are currently under investigation - believe it or not they even had the audacity to record themselves assaulting me and then conspiring to cover it up. They would not let me see what they were doing to the computer during the search which raises ethical questions - especially when the person being searched has the right to observe the process. They apparently constructed some of the evidence which I did not know about until just recently as a result of the investigation into the assault by their ethical standards command.

The end of the story is that I&#039;m innocent, yet judged to be guilty. I can&#039;t sue the police except for wrongful imprisonment.

One only has to look at the wrongful imprisonment in Australia by the AFP of that poor chap who was prosecuted for child sex tourism where the police failed to obtain evidence that the chap was 1,000 miles away at the time of the allegation. The complainant tried to withdraw the allegation but the Police pressured her into not withdrawing it, and on top of that paid her $150,000 in &#039;witness expenses&#039;. The guy eventually had his conviction overturned, but only after the police and prosecutor tried to have his evidence suppressed during an appeal! During his 18 month incarceration, his baby died because his family could not afford the medicine necessary to save it&#039;s life (another child victim of the police!) The reason his family could not afford to pay for the medicine - the police froze his assets!

Sure, there are some people who deserve to go to goal for these crimes, but it is no way as prevailent as the various police services around the world would have you believe.

For those interested, visit the site Inquisition21 where the largest travesty of justice for the last Century is detailed. The case is about to break in the UK as they have won the right to appeal in a case where corruption will be detailed.

Lets hope the true criminals get to serve thier time in goal!

Cheers
