I have purchased a very nice flat in Dandong last year. My future wife lives there and I decided to prepare for the future. The cost of living is really cheap if you live and eat the Chinese way. My 130m2 flat cost me 65,000 USD fitted out with furniture and kitchen so really cheap compared to Europe where I actually reside. The people are very friendly and helpful although very few speak English so it is mandatory to learn basic Chinese if you want to stay more than a few weeks. It is a really relaxing place and each evening in the center of town or along the Yalu river people walk around in their pyjamas and participate with a group of dancers or whatever sport you fancy, you just join in.Good place for the simple relax life.
