Hey Chris... first, just want to clarify that it's not "my" movie.. :-) It's a widely available, rather well-known documentary about the 911 discrepancies... but semantics eh? haha.

I don't agree with ya on the government not doing something like this. Because if it's true, even if it's all true... do you think it will make a difference? Even if 50-60% of the US popuation believed the Bush administration 'might' have had some secret things to do with 9-11 that didn't have the American people's interests at heart, nothing would happen.

It was pretty much proven that Bush won the 2000 election with bad votes from Florida. Anywhere else this would have caused a major problem and at least a re-vote, never mind criminal charges ... in America, it's just sort of forgotten.

The reason. Power. The population is given the illusion of "power" through media, the courts, and the constitution. But really, does it exist? I don't think so.

Which is why I pretty much believe that a group of people who have power will generally do whatever is needed to keep power. Bush would not be president now if 9-11 hadn't happened. All the things that have happened in Afganistan, Iraq, and the things that will come with Iran and possibly North Korea (and maybe Venezuela as well) would not have been possible without the initial support of the American people to keep A) the Republicans, and B) (and this most importantly) Bush in power.

I don't think this is so much an issue about Republicans or Democrats... I think it's about Elites vs. commoners.

I could go on all day regarding my thought about how far people are willing to go as well as how many people they're willing to kill to keep their power ... but it's early yet and my brain is still slow to grasp on to the caffeine I've just injected into it.

Basically, what I think this "conspiracy" is about isn't "would the government do it" as the government is a massive, multi-headed, rather diluted entity. The question is, would the select few who have the most power, and the most to gain do it...

Hey, man,
Thanks for the BitTorrent link. I've heard about BitTorrent for a long time now, but have never checked it out. I'm in the process of downloading your movie now.

I have a friend who first introduced me to these conspiracy theories about 911, and I was amazed and somewhat chagrined to find out that he really believed them. Not having yet watched the movie, and not knowing much at all about the theories, I can tell you that I strongly believe the must be bullshit, for one very simple reason -- it would be so hard to pull something like this off, that the government would never risk it.

I'll comment again after I've seen it.
