@Kim: I definitely agree that kids need to be educated about cursing and generally all the crap in the world we deem inappropriate for them. With every little Timmy and his sister on the net now, it just makes sense to be a little more open about what they might find.

@Xuexiansheng: Damn! If I had some sort of prize, I’d give it to ya. I’ll definitely look out for World War Z – it sounds like a cool concept.

I missed the chance to post a comment while reading thru the archives. I can’t find the original post, so I’ll just comment ‘off topic’ here. It was about Children of Men (great movie) and your love for post-apocalyptic stories. I love that genre too, and am currently devouring “World War Z” by Max Brooks. He wrote the book as a series of interviews with the survivors of a world wide zombie epidemic. Wonderful bit of storytelling, check it out if you get a chance.

When the fuck are people going to understand that swearing has its time and place? A well placed swear word can brighten up my day and the only time I ever found President “I’m a right living Christian” Bush faintly endearing was when he called some reporter a “major league asshole”. I think that the fact that the website in question is connected with children has something to do with your being blacklisted, but if we taught kids how and when to swear the world would be a far better place. Oh, and why the fuck has blogspot been blocked again? Jesus fucking Christ on a bike, what is their major malfunction?

If your site is classed as child unfriendly, I shudder to think what they would think of mine. I can imagine groups of vigilantes finding my address and pushing dog shit through my letterbox if any righ-minded citizens saw some of the filth I write.

Going back further, I was initially denied Google ads because I had made the colourful comment that China ‘has made me a racist’ after having one of the baddest of Bad China Days.

If I remember correctly TTC used to have Google ads on their site. I find it amazing that they were not held to the same scrutiny as you. Either that or they overlooked the “colorful” comments because of the high traffic that TTC received.
