When I graduated college, I vowed I would never take an intercity bus again and I have stuck by it. I knew there was a reason.

You seem to be blocked! Is it because you said NEVER TAKE THE FUCKING BUS IN CHINA, I wonder?

Glad I missed Spiderman then, but much enjoyed the beer and chuar and chat. Hope to meet up with you and Maggie in Suzhou in the not so distant future.

We had Spiderman 3 here in Xiamen too, but we paid 50 RMB each for our tickets. I agree with you - it was a disappointment. On the plus side - the theater we went to was brand new and rather large. I'm hoping that they also have Pirates 3 there when it comes out. That is one movie you sorta have to see on the big screen to fully appreciate.

As awful as you described your experience on the bus, I couldn't help but laugh. I have an over active imagination. Heh. Hopefully, you won't have nightmares about it for too long.

@Rick: Damn man, sorry I missed ya. I just assumed you were out for the whole holiday. And I'm not worse than the polkaroo... I. AM. POLKAROO!

@Ray: I know a few guys who are whipped into a horribly twisted shape, but Maggie's not like that. She's dead cool about not getting on my case about doing things I want to do, but does give a jab here or there when I get lazy with the housework.

@Chris: Well noted. I had just assumed... but well noted anyway. ;-)

Upon further examination, applying baijiu directly to the eye does not improve one's vision. I thought briefly that I might wake up the next day with Daredevil-like radar senses. Alas, it was just a hangover (not helped by my building manager pounding nails into my wall at 8 a.m.).

While drinking the stuff has been shown to enhance strength and alter vision, putting it directly into your eyeball is in no way recommended.
