To be fair, Michael Moore’s had a string of hit movies and can no doubt better afford to self-finance and freely distribute a movie than Morgan Spurlock.

Additionally, I think Michael’s way more interested in converting the masses to his way of thinking than Spurlock is – Spurlock seems more interest in just making entertaining documentaries.

As such, Moore’s latest gimmick is unsurprising.

I used to be a huge Michael Moore fan – believing he truly championed the causes of the just. But as I’ve now watched a number of documentaries that turn his “style” of documentary making on him, the shine is gone.

I’ll still always watch his movies, because there are always some fantastic points in them. But as for Moore himself… I think he’s a dick.

@Kellen: When it has to fit in a fear factoring soundbite, everyone gets a bad rap. Would really love to head to the Middle East at some point. Would love to go to Iran.

@Jamieson: I actually grabbed it off the torrent link posted at the end of the post. I haven’t seen it in any of the shops here yet.

funny. only time i ever felt in danger in the middle east was when trying to talk to some israelis. happened more than once.

im not generalizing. i just think the arabs get a bad rap. wouldn’t have spent so much time there if it were all that bad. 30 days was good. i’ll have to check this out.
